Blending art, science, and technology to arrive at conservation solutions
Our goal is to provide inventive solutions to problems facing conservation efforts for wildlife species and wild landscapes. We work to integrate contemporary technologies and creativity to fill the needs of conservation projects.
From wildlife monitoring to landscape videography, the utility of UAVs in the conservation world is rapidly expanding in tandem with the evolution of flight, camera, and payload technologies. We offer fully licensed and insured UAV services tailored to conservation-related goals.
Maps and other visual displays of spatial or geo-referenced information are often critical to conservation efforts for wildlife species and wild landscapes. We provide various mapping solutions backed by over a decade of experience with several mapping software platforms.
Website design and upkeep is key to generating increased viewership, information-sharing, and support for conservation causes. We work to help blend conservation message with creativity to produce and maintain eye-catching and informative websites.
Data and information management lies at the heart of successful conservation efforts. We develop local or online databases for organizing, analyzing, and sharing information across teams designed specifically to meet the needs of conservation projects.
Aiding endangered species conservation with creative innovation: The black-footed ferret.
One of North America's rarest mammals remains at risk of extinction as less than 300 black-footed ferrets are thought to exist in populations scattered throughout the western United States. SJS is working with a diverse team of wildlife conservationist on a multi-faceted project to adapt UAV technologies to monitoring programs, design a website intended to garner support for conservation actions, and develop a database for streamlining information-sharing across North America all in hopes of helping to move this unique species closer to recovery.
